Finally, after hours of toiling alone at the table, I finished the house. Okay well, it was only like an hour and a half but like I said, the other two left me to my own devices after about a half hour. Anyways, this is the back.

Not bad eh? It turned out to be a pretty cute little house if I do say so myself. And I guess I have to since nobody else around here seems to care about it that much. :)

A Slow Day....Apparently

Okay yes dang it...I'm back-blogging again. And, I can't for the life of me remember what happened this day. Maybe I blacked it out, who knows? But, apparently, it wasn't that momentous, I think just your normal day, waiting for Christmas and stuff. I think this picture of Bree about sums up the day.

Attractive eh? And this pose makes her look so intelligent too. Well, she IS 2 after all...so nose picking happens. What do you expect? I'm trying to give you an accurate picture of her complete childhood after all; the good, the bad, AND the ugly. :)

Naughty and Silly

One of my New Year's resolutions this year is gonna be to let Bree get away with less stuff. Between the holiday madness, traveling, and my being wiped out with pregnancy #2 she's been managing to practically get away with murder. One of her little tricks these days is to charm her way out of trouble. She'll do something questionable and then look me right in the eye, smile boldly and say, "Mom, aren't I silly?" And to her credit, this usually works, depending on my energy level and how bad the infraction was. But, I'm onto her and it's not gonna fly much longer...maybe..if I feel up to getting off the couch...

Monkey See, Monkey Barfs Too

So, yes, surprise! I've had some morning sickness with this pregnancy. Although, I'm doing better this time around than I did when pregnant with Bree. With her I actually lost 5 pounds in the first trimester I was sick enough. This time I've only thrown up a few times. But, it's been a more interesting experience being sick this time around...mostly because every time I've been, ah, worshipping the porcelin goddess, Bree has been right there with her face about 2 incehs away from mine going "What are you doing Mom?" So, I tell her, "Mommy's throwing up." Then Brianna will say, "Okay, I'm gonna do it too!" And she'll run over to her little potty chair and try to spit into it. I think maybe she thinks Mommy is spitting into the toilet? Either way, at least it hasn't triggered a sympathetic real barfing scenario. That would really suck if every time I threw up, Brianna got grossed out and did too. Maybe she's too little to be bothered by it? Hmmm...

Pirate Music

Brianna's favorite CD lately is the soundtrack to "Muppets Treasure Island." I think she likes it because it's got lots of silly voices (the muppets singing) and most the songs are upbeat. Or, it could be she thinks it's neat since her daddy bought her that pirate kit awhile back and now she's into pirates? Either way, there's no debate that it's on the top of her list right now for fun music, she calls it her "Pirate Music." At first I just thought it was kinda quirky and didn't think much more of it. But then I was actually listening to the words and some of them are kinda disturbing for a 2 year old to be singing along to. At one point the lyrics say, "people die by falling overboard!" in a really enthusiastic tone. And in another song it goes, "on occassion there might be someone that you have to execute but when you're a professional pirate you don't have to wear a suit...." I mean, it's fun and rhymy but come on...maybe not the most uplifting of choices. But, I'm going with the flow for two reasons, one being that my theory is the more I object to it, the more she'll decide she really likes it, and two, I really don't think she's picking up on those parts.

Although, there's no doubt that she's picking up on some of it. She actually knows some of the words..which reminds me of a funny little incident that happened on our visit to Idaho. Since I think that's it's pretty funny that THAT's her favorite CD, (largely because every time she hears it she starts boogy-ing down like a maniac, or like a kangaroo on crack..bounce, bounce, bounce), I brought it with us on our trip to show the grandparents. After a few minutes of dancing Bree started to poop out and wandered over to her "Grape-Grammy." "Grape-Grammy" said, "How's that song go?" and Bree immediately answered her, "Shiver my timbers..yo ho ee oh!" It made us all laugh but made me really hope that one day she's not suddenly gonna burst into that song in public and remember the part about "people die by falling overboard!" I'm thinking that would earn me a few disapproving stares.

Imagine That

Brianna is in full imagination mode these days. Today as we were running some errands she turns and says to me, "Mom, my nose is sure red. I'm Rudolph!" (Which I'm not too sure why she'd want to be since that movie scared the crap out of her.) Then later, as we were crossing the parking lot to go into the store I told her she needed to hold my hand. "Okay," she said, "I'm gonna hold Dora's hand too." (As in Dora the Explorer from TV.) "I'm holding Dora's hand and Boots and Buzz Lightyear and Woody too!" Not only was she helping one imaginary friend across the street safely, but four! Now that's quite the imagination she's got going on.

Better Late Than Never I Always Say...

Okay, yes...I did it again. I got busy and skipped a whole week of blogging again! But, I 've been keeping track of a few things I want to say so once again, I'm just gonna back blog each day and you can just pretend that I've kept up to date...DO IT! Come on, use your imagination. And, just think, now instead of one you have several new blogs to read and enjoy. So, it's a bonus really. I was just thinking of your own personal enjoyment and not my own laziness when I skipped that week. Ya know, absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that...now aren't you just so happy to have a few new entries? Yup, it was all my plan to make you appreciate me more....

A Weekend in Idaho

We spent this weekend (Friday thru Monday) in Idaho visiting with our families. The main purpose of our trip though was to celebrate Travis' brother, Cody, getting married. So, our first order of business was to attend Cody and his new wife, Alicia's reception. We had a good time celebrating with the happy couple and Bree had a blast! After that we spent the rest of the weekend spending some quality time with family. Of course, our trip flew by as usual but there were some funny Brianna moments in there...

One of those moments was when Bree was riding home from the airport with Grammy Dee-Dee. They started having a conversation about Bogart for some reason and then Bree just suddenly says, "Bog-it (Bogart) says, 'MEOW' when you squeeze him and he gets mad. He's like a sheep." It was the funniest thing, her admitting that she squeezes Bogart and that he gets mad. I have no idea why she compared him to a sheep though but it made my mom laugh hysterically. Of course, I think she was more amused a few days later. Remembering their earlier discussion my mom said, "Brianna, do you have a sheep at home?" (Meaning Bogart.) Brianna looked at her Grammy like she was crazy and said, "There's no sheep at home. Just Bogart my cat and toy sheeps maybe."

That's only one funny little discussion among the many Bree had with her doting relatives. When she wasn't charming the socks off them with her sparkling conversational skills and funny little sayings, (like calling her Grandpa Randy "Poppa Granny" and her aunts, one named Missy and one Emily, "My Missies"), then she was amusing them by romping with their dogs and playing with the toys they have ready for her. (Spoiled kid.)

Overall we had a great time and hope everyone there did too. It sure was a fast, fun, and crazy weekend....

Brianna on the dance floor at the wedding reception. There was a live band and Bree went nuts, dancing like crazy. Apparently though, her idea of dancing is running around in circles. She was the only one on the dance floor for quite some time and was making everyone laugh, running in big circles to the music and then stopping to clap and cheer when each song was finished. She actually "danced" for an hour or more this way and I was surprised she didn't just pass right out since it was past her bedtime already at that point. But, she had a blast. After all how often does a 2 year old get to dance the night away to a live band? Gotta take advantage of the moment.

After awhile Bree's older cousin, Chad, came over and took her hands and they danced like this awhile. Aw, aren't they cute! Can you believe it? My baby's first dance with a boy! At least it was with her cousin right? I actually was pretty shocked she would let him do this since when her daddy had tried to dance with her earlier she blew him off, ignoring him and running circles around him on the dance floor.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

As I've already mentioned, Bree is super excited about Christmas this year. It's the first year she's really been aware of all the hype and excitement that kids feel around this time of year. And now this has extended to Santa as well. I haven't been too sure how I wanted to handle the whole Santa issue. I didn't really grow up believing in Santa. I mean, I knew who he was and the idea of him and thought it was fun, but I didn't BELIEVE in him so much that I felt crushed in second grade when I found out he wasn't really real. And, I don't want Bree to be so wrapped up in the Santa myth that her whole world crashes around her when she finds out it's just a story as well. I just don't want her to feel like her parents lied to her. But, I don't want to be a Scrooge either so I've kind of avoided the topic while I've thought of how to handle it. Of course, Brianna is a pretty smart cookie so through her friend Savannah and a few Christmas themed cartoons she's watched she's figured out the whole concept. Today out of the blue she looks over at me and says, "Mom, Santa is too far away! He's up there in the sky and he's coming, but not now." Well, I couldn't argue with that....maybe we'll fine tune the details next year.

Brianna's Big News

Brianna has some big news to share with everybody! I'll let her tell you about it though...

Yep, we're expecting! Of course, Bree has no idea what the sign really says. According to all my parenting books we don't need to tell her until the last trimester, otherwise it's just too long of a wait to make sense to her. But, I figured it's time to tell you all anyways. We've known for awhile but I wanted to wait to tell everyone. But now, at almost 10 weeks we've had our first appointment, seen the heartbeat and everything seems to be smooth-sailing so it's time to share the news. Brianna's baby sister or brother will be due in mid to late July. Hopefully, that helps explain some of my comments about feeling frazzled and tired and why I've been so bad lately about keeping up with my writing. I'm just super energy-zapped (this whole creating another human thing is tiring!) and haven't had the energy to spare at the end of the day.

Of course, this brings up some questions on my part. I mean, this was a planned pregnancy and all but still, I'm left wondering, "Can I handle two?" "What was I thinking?" "How will Bree deal with the divided attention of her parents when she's been the center of our world for almost 3 years now?" And so on. But, really, all that's just side issues compared to the big, important question and that is....what do do about blogging? Does this mean I need to start a new blog for the new baby? I mean I want to be fair and all. And if the cute story involved both kids would I post it on both sites or what?? But, I'm already having trouble keeping up with just this one! :) Seriously though, I think this site will have to become Brianna and so-and-so's Big Adventures. But we have another 6 or so months until that happens. Stay tuned though!

Storming City Hall

Well, Brianna made her first visit to City Hall tonight and made her voice heard loud and clear. Actually, the reason we were there is because Travis had entered the "Picture Plymouth" photo contest and won the grand prize! His reward was a $100 check that they presented to him during a city council meeting this evening. Due to this fact Travis has now been going around telling me that he can be considered an award winning photographer. Which, is true I suppose, technically. But I've been teasing him by calling it his "major award" (ever seen the movie A Christmas Story where they father gets a "major award" (a huge horrible leg lamp) for correctly solving a cross-word puzzle? anyways...) So, there we were at City Hall. And Bree did make her voice heard. Mostly because we had to sit through about 45 minutes to an hour of other, extremely boring, city council crap before they reached the photo contest on their official agenda. Really, it's impossible to get a 2 year old to sit quietly for that long. Bree wasn't being bad, not really, she was just babbling to herself and pretty much refused to whisper, no matter what I said. Therefore, the government officials were going on (as they do) and every now and then you'd hear this high-pitched voice pipe in, "That's my Daddy!" "Do you like gummy worms?" "I'm 2 and 1/2." and so on. Most people seemed to bear it with good grace and I figured well, that's democracy for ya, Bree has just as much right to be there as anyone else. Finally, they got to awarding the photo contest winners and Trav got to head up there, collect his money and shake the hands of the council members. It sure was an interesting evening. :)

The winning shot...
"The Dock at Parkers Lake."
The judges said they liked the mood of it.

Water Paint

One of the ideas I've read about for a good toddler activity is having them "paint" on construction paper with water. The idea is that construction paper gets darker when wet so the child thinks they're painting, just without the major mess. I thought this was a great idea when I first read about it. But, then I tried it and it didn't really go over. Maybe Bree was too young at the time though since I tried again today and it was a big hit. It entertained her for hours, dipping a little brush into her "paint" and making masterpiece after masterpiece. She was even humming quite happily for most the time and would politely ask me for more paper when she ran out. It was great! There was virtually no mess, she was happy, and I got quite a few chores done around the house..thank goodness! (It was starting to look like a family of pigs lived here.) I would show you a photo of one of her paintings but alas, once they dry you can't see the "paint" anymore. I guess it's just something you'll have to check out in person. :)

A Quiet Weekend

Our weekend was pretty quiet here. Nothing much to report about it really. We spent some time hanging out and tried to get a few chores done around the house and Brianna spent most her time running around in only her diaper. Bree, however, was quite sure that it was a picture-worthy weekend. She's grown quite accustomed to her daddy snapping pictures of her left and right, pretty much every minute of her life. So, when he wasn't doing so this weekend I think she got a little confused. Finally she said to him, "Daddy, don't you want a pitcher (picture) of me right now?" Apparently she thought whatever it was she was doing was pretty darn cute. And, in her defense, whatever she's doing IS normally pretty darn cute. So, the following pix were all ones Bree insisted we take of her. After all, her life makes no sense to her if she doesn't have the "Papa-razzi" snapping shots right? (hee hee) Anyways, since these are all shots Bree wanted, I'll let her explain them this time. Normally, I don't let her blog herself since, well, let's face it, I have a better vocabulary and a better developed sense of humor (arguably). But anyways, just this once I'll let Brianna take over the show...

Of course, I drank some egg-nog. I ask for it a lot now that I know how much I like it...Man, I sure love this stuff. Gotta make sure to get the very last drop!

Then I entertained myself for awhile jumping up and down on Mom and Dad's bed while they tried to clean their room. Two thumbs up for getting away with jumping on the bed!

All that jumping made me tired! Shhh..I'm sleeping....

And, that's what happened. What'd you do over your weekend?

A Family Movie

So, the other night we all sat down and Travis said, "Let's watch a family movie!" This sounded good to the rest of us so we cruised through the channels and soon found the clay-mation Christmas classic "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Bree was really enjoying it and we watched for awhile when we got a phone call. It was Grammy Dee-Dee calling. Of course, at one point in the conversation Bree talked to her Grammy. "Are you watching a Christmas movie?" I overheard her Grammy ask her. "Nopes," Bree corrected her, "A FAM-LY movie." It made me laugh since I had no idea such a simple little thing could have so much impact on our little 2 year old. But, it made me smile too...after all it's a tradition my family had as well. We had "Friday Fun Nights" with a family movie, a themed meal, and games. And, those are still some of my favorite memories of growing up...and so it goes on. I can only hope those will be the times Brianna looks back on with as much fondness as I do....

But, then again maybe not since I think I might have permanantly ruined family movie night for Bree. After the big succes the other night we sat down again last night to snuggle up and watch "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer." I remember watching it as a kid and thinking it was great. Yes, I remembered that there were a few scenes with the abdominable snow monster but I didn't think they were too bad. I mean, Bree has watched movies with slightly scary stuff before and done fine with a little parental reassurance. Well, not so this time around. I had no idea that Rudolph is the 2 year old equivalent of a terrifying slasher flick. After a few minutes of the abominable snow man scene, (the one where he's acting like he might eat Rudolph...well okay on second thought that's pretty creepy and gross), Brianna was so horrified that she actually turned the TV off, ran into her room and insisted that she needed to go to bed immediately. She said, "I need to get under my blanket with Bear and be safe!" "Right now?" we asked her. She's NEVER just wanted to go straight to bed. We even tried to convince her to give the movie another try just so she would see that the monster is friendly in the end. But, if we even so much as made a move to take her back into the living room she was freaking out, major meltdown. So, in the shortest bedtime routine ever in the history of Bree we put her to bed where she was asleep in record time as well. I guess it's a good thing she feels so safe and secure in her bed. I did feel a little bad though that I'd let her watch such an apparently scary movie that freaked her little self out so much. Oh well I figured, she fell right asleep so she must not have been too traumatized.

It wasn't until the next morning that I realized just how scary she thought the abominable snow monster was though. See, it's our morning custom (bad habit that it may be) to turn the TV on right away in the mornings. It gives Travis and I a chance to drink our morning caffeine dose in peace and actually wake up. But, this morning, after last night's scary Christmas horror flick, when we went to turn the TV on Bree just screamed and ran back into her room. "I don't want to watch TV! I just want to stay in my room!" she told us. I was confounded. This is a kid who wouldn't turn down watching TV if she thought she'd get a puppy instead. "But, Mickey Mouse and Dora are gonna be on?!" I stammered. "Mickey Mouse?" she said, "Well okay. But no fam-ly show!" Great...just great. Not only have I ruined the family movie tradition but here I was actually trying to CONVINCE my kid to watch TV. Not my best few parenting days I have to say. Well, guess I'll try again tomorrow.

Spashlight Fun

Brianna is at the age where a simple flashlight can provide hours of entertainment. We know, 'cause we gave her a small penlight the other day and she was enthralled by it all day. She was calling it her "spashlight" and shining it into her face, on her fingers, and then later in the evening, into dark rooms. She would walk over to one of her parents and say, "Hey, want to come in the dark with me?" Then she'd take your hand and proudly lead you over to a darkened room and shine her "spashlight" around. It was kind of funny because she would also shine the light up, into her face when she was talking, just like you do when you're telling scary stories. She liked the "spashlight" so well she insisted on taking it to bed with her. I thought, oh well, what harm could it do? Well, it didn't do her harm so much as make her into a night owl. Two whole hours after we'd laid her down we could still hear her in there, talking to herself. Finally, Travis peeked in on her. "What's she doing in there?" I asked him. "She's still playing with the flashlight." he informed me. Finally a short while later she was asleep. But, alas, catastrophe struck around 2 a.m. when Brianna happened to have a wakeful moment and she realized that her precious "spashlight" had used up it's batteries and wouldn't shine anymore. This led to a pretty good meltdown and a 15 minute calm down talk. Makes me wonder about the wisdom of my choice of a Buzz Lightyear flashlight for one of her Christmas presents. While I'm sure she'll thoroughly enjoy it I'm thinking the new rule is no "spashlights" in bed.

Music Class

Well, two of my very dear friends, Becca and Dawn, seeing how frazzled, hassled, and overall stressed out I've been lately, called me up to inform me that they'd be taking Brianna with them and their kids this morning to their toddler music class. They figured she'd love it and not to mention, they're so great that they wanted to give me a few hours to myself. So, they showed up, transferred the car seat and drove off. I was a little bit nervous about it. Actually today was the first time I've ever let someone else take my kid somewhere without me. I mean, I've had sitters come to my house, but not take her off somewhere. Don't get me wrong, I had every faith and trust in my friends and their surrogate parenting ability, I was actually kind of wondering how Bree would react...

Well, I should have known better. Brianna LOVES both Dawn and Becca. When we came out the door and Bree saw Dawn she started heading towards her as fast as she could and saying "Dawn, Dawn, I missed you! I'm coming!" It took me a minute to load Bree and her stuff into the car and then I leaned over to give her a kiss, "Have a good time and be good!" I told her. To which she lovingly responded, "Close the door!" Yeah, it was apparent to me that she was gonna be real worried about the situation. Two hours later back she came with a smile on her face. Apparently, everything went well which made me think...Hmmm maybe I can convince them to do this more often??

Well, maybe not but either way...thank you so much to Dawn and Becca! I love you guys!

Super Sorry

Due to Brianna's excitement over the season, and the decorations that come with it, at our house we've had our tree up for some time now already. And, actually she's been pretty good about not messing with, or breaking, most the stuff we put out. But, the other day, I suppose inevitably, she managed to break one of the Christmas balls on the tree. The funny part though was what she did afterwards. Maybe thinking that he'd be easier on her, or that he's the head honcho around here, Brianna actually hid the ornament from me. Then, she waited all day for Daddy to come home. The minute he walked in the door she was pouring her heart out to him though..."Daddy, I broke this," she said, handing it to him, "I'm super sorry!" Well, what can you say to that? I mean the kid was brave enough to tell the truth and apologize too. "It's okay kiddo," he said, "Thanks for telling me though." So, at the end, I was pretty impressed with my 2 year old's level of responsibility...at least in that particular instance. :)

A Mean Guy

All right, well, as I've said before, it's no secret that Bree watches TV pretty much every day. Naturally, in order for any of these shows to have a plot, there pretty much has to be some conflict going on. Usually this takes the form of some kind of mean kid, or bad guy who's trying to take something or get in the way of the main characters. Well, Brianna seems to have picked up on this fact and today was going around telling her daddy and I, "I'm a mean guy! I'm mean!" Of course, her trying to be "a mean guy" was kind of ruined by the fact that she was following it up with, "I'm a mean guy. Here, would you like a toy? Play with it! Have a snack!" Of course, they were PRETEND toys and snacks, but still, true mean guys don't give you toys or snacks. Geesh.

Where Are You?

So, the name of this particular entry is fitting in more than one way I guess. Yes, it has to do with a funny little something about Brianna, but it could also apply to myself lately. I've been somewhat missing in action this week...and I have to say sorry to anybody whose gotten used to having a daily little blurb. It's just been kind of crazy lately, you know, holiday stuff and whatnot other things, and I've found that I have no energy or time at the end of the day to devote to blogging. But, seeing as how it's been 4 whole days (unheard of for me to go that long!) I figure I need to catch up. So, yes, I'm back-blogging here. There's no use pretending I actually wrote this one on Monday (even though I'll date it as that)....

Once again, I find myself amused by something Bree does that is in fact, just perfectly normal. I know I wouldn't be smirking if anyone ELSE said it, but, coming from my baby it strikes me as funny. I think because even though she's learning words so quickly and says so many things, she still communicates a lot through whining, or grunting, or pointing, and I can remember the days when that was all she did. Well, I suppose those days are pretty much over since one of the last situations she used to whine and/or cry she's now using words in. And that is when she can't find me. Like I said, up until very recently she'd just start whining if she couldn't find me, or something she wanted, and I was out of the room. But these days now it's, "Mom, where are you? O Mom! Where are you?!" (Or, Dolly or Bear, or hat where are you?!) Which, is a perfectly rational and normal thing to do but for some reason it makes me smile every time... It did make my friend Hannah smile too though the other day. Bree and I had met up with her and Kadyn for a little shopping and hanging out. Well, we got to the toy section of TJ Maxx and the four of us all just kind of wandered around those 3 aisles, with Hannah and I popping our heads around to check on the kids occasionally. At one point, I couldn't see Bree but I could hear her when she suddenly decided she needed to know where we were. Instead of calling for me though she yells out, "O Hannah! Where are you?!" :)

Happy Birthday Grace!

Over the weekend our little friend, Grace, (my friend Becca's daughter) turned 1 year old. We went to her birthday party for a little while...but we were a little late because of nap time. (Okay, a lot late, like 2 hours late.) So, it wasn't too long after we got there that most the other guests had cleared out. And, shortly after that Grace went down for her afternoon nap. This meant that Brianna was free to try-out all Grace's new toys and stuff, you know, for safety's sake. She had to test them all to make sure Grace could use them safely. :) She had a great time eating cake and then taking out her sugar rush by toy-testing...

I think her favorite though was testing out the Winnie the Pooh car. Brianna's been pretty into Pooh Bear recently, check it out, she's even wearing a Pooh shirt too! In the background there you can see some of the rest of Grace's bounty. She really made a haul!

Yep, this was definitely a good time. Bree sure had fun trying out all Grace's new toys. Thanks for having us over Grace and Happy Birthday!

Mushroom Hat

One of Bree's favorite things to do is play dress up. She has quite a few dress up type items, enough to fill up a drawer-full, including a grass skirt, play glasses, and all kinds of hats. Some of these things we've bought but quite a few have been hand-me-downs or gifts from the Grammies. One of these things is a white, furry, oval-type hat...it looks like something you would see in Russia. So, we call it Bree's Russian Hat. Well, Brianna overheard us referring to it as that the other day and has expressed new interest and has had an increase in wearing her "mushroom hat." The first time she called it that we laughed and said, "No baby, it's a RUSSIAN hat." "Yep," she said, "my mushroom hat." So, after a few rounds of that back and forth we gave up, it is now and forever dubbed the mushroom hat.

Too Much TV and Krabby Finger Painting

It seems despite my best efforts to have Bree watch less TV she's still watching more than I would like. It's just too easy to turn it on for her while I'm trying to get dinner ready (way easier to cook without someone holding onto your knees the whole time). Or, like recently, when I haven't been feeling 100%, the TV tends to be on more than normal. But, I mean, she does learn stuff from what she watches.

Like this morning she was watching Curious George, the cartoon series. In this episode, the man with the yellow hat and George went to the Dr.'s office. There was a whole segment about the Dr. using his stethescope to listen to everyone's heartbeat. And, the Dr. let Curious George borrow the stethescope to listen to things. While he was listening to all kinds of things George heard a mysterious beeping noise and he couldn't tell where it was coming from. In the end, George figures out what was beeping with much misadventures and silliness in between. Well, after watching this show Bree started talking about heartbeats. Of course, she got a little bit confused about the heartbeat and the beeping noise George had heard. So, she was asking me, "Hey Mom, do you hear my heart beeping?" I just said, yes I did, rather than try to explain it.

Some time later in the day we fingerpainted. And, yep, TV managed to have an influence on that as well...

Bree had been finger-painting away for some time when we asked her what she was painting a picture of. It was at this point she told us she was making a "Krabby Patty," which, for those of you not up to date on your cartoons, is the specialty Hamburger made by Mr. Krabs on SpongeBob Squarepants. Once again, too much TV! I feel kind of bad that Brianna even watches that particular show anyways, since it really has no educational value. But, it's one of the only kids shows that actually makes me laugh too. Posted by Picasa

After that Bree decided to put a new spin on the whole thing and try out toe-painting. Ya know, since she's such an artistic genius. :P

Boy, this finger-painting sure gets your hands dirty...

And everything else too...oh well I guess that's part of the joy of doing art at this age right?
