A Chocolate Bunny

Okay so, for Easter, (yes Easter over 5 months ago), we had bought Bree a chocolate bunny for her basket. Thing is, at that time we weren't really giving her lots of sugary sweets and she was smaller, so the bunny was a HUGE amount of chocolate for her. Well, the other day after Bree had gone to bed both Travis and I were prowling around the apartment, craving sweets but not finding any. Until we realized...we'd hidden the chocolate bunny in the pantry months ago and never pulled it out. Like two naughty children we pulled it out and opened it up and were about to eat it when....we started feeling kinda bad. The bunny had this cute little face and we knew it would make Brianna just so happy to see a little bunny and then get to enjoy the sweet treat of..well, eating him. (Kinda disturbing now that I'm thinking about it as I write, but, anyways...) So we came to a compromise and only ate the back of the bunny. (Picture Travis and I furtively tearing off chunks of the back of Bree's chocolate Easter Bunny.) It was a win-win situation because we got some dessert and Brianna still got to have her bunny without us feeling bad about how much chocolate she'd be eating. Sure enough when we gave it to her the next day she was so excited and enjoyed her treat immensely.

In fact, she liked it so well that tonight after dinner when I told her Daddy might have a yummy treat to share with her (I meant ice-cream) she perked up and said, "A chocolate bunny?" (Which is how I got on this topic to begin with.)
